The Lyric Hearing Aid:

There are so many choices to make when buying a hearing aid. Hearing aid purchase decisions can be very daunting…should you buy an extended wear hearing aid, a digital hearing aid, how will you know what is the best hearing aid for you? It is important to think about what aspects of a hearing aide are important to you, and to consult your hearing healthcare professional. Most people want a hearing aid so they can hear better, but other things like convenience, daily hassles, invisibility, ease of use, and overall lifestyle may be important too. When contemplating your hearing aid needs, you may want to make a list of what features and benefits you would like in a hearing aid, and think about what kinds of hearing situations are most difficult for you. You can take our “how is your hearing” survey on our site to see if you think you might want to make an appointment with a trained professional to see if you need a hearing aid, to complete this self evaluation survey, visit http://www.lyrichearing.com/is-lyric-hearing-aid-for-me/do-i-need-a-hearing-aid/.

Lyric has been featured on many news programs, including the hottest new medical show on TV, The Dr. Oz Show! The segment first aired all around the country on Friday, October 30th, 2009, and ran again on December 31st. Dr. Oz spoke with a woman in her mid-twenties who has suffered from hearing loss since she was in her teens. She had been reluctant to try a hearing aid because she didn’t want the stigma associated with it. Doctor Oz then explained how hearing loss occurs, and introduced Dr. Shelley Borgia from Park Avenue Acoustics. Dr. Borgia then fit the young woman with hearing loss with Lyric hearing aids right on the show!
